Compatibility
DWG support
ZWCAD’s native file format is DWG, so it can open, edit and save any existing
DWG file saved in numerous versions, including DWG Version from 2.5 to 2008,
without conversions or data loss. ZWCAD provides high degree of compatibility
with AutoCAD®.

Command and Alias
The command and Alias of ZWCAD are almost same as AutoCAD®, you can use them to work immediately without
relearn.
Resource Files
All the resource files from mainstream CAD platforms can be used in ZWCAD
properly, such as Windows TTF fonts & SHX fonts, Linetypes(.lin), Hatch
Patterns(.pat), Slides (.sld) and Units Files (.unt).
Friendly User Interface
The arrangement of menu, toolbar, drawing area, command line, properties
palette, and dialog box, are similar to AutoCAD®, it is
convenient for user to work immediately with ZWCAD.
Create and modify 3D Model
Simple 3D models can be created in ZWCAD,
also you can make some modification to
them, such as Union, Subtract, Intersect and so on.

ADS/ Autolisp / Visuallisp/VBA /DRX support
LISP, VBA, SDS and DRX provide interface for customizing and extending ZWCAD. LISP is a programming language designed for extending and customizing
ZWCAD functionality. Microsoft VBA is an object-oriented programming environment
designed to provide rich development capabilities similar to those of Visual
Basic 6 (VB). The main difference between VBA and VB is that VBA runs in the
same process space as ZWCAD, providing a ZWCAD-intelligent and very fast
programming environment. SDS is an acronym for Solutions Development System, a
C/C++ language interface compatible with the ADS® (AutoCAD® Development System)
interface found in other CAD systems.

sat format through Export command.

Audit and Recover
By using Recover or Audit, you can recover some or all of the
incorrect data in
current drawing which has been damaged. When a drawing saved after
impersonality wrong, such as program crash, you may use recover command to protect your
work.
Layer Properties Manager
Layer management can help you to freeze or thaw, lock or unlock, and modify other
properties of layers. Further more, any current layer state can be saved in
States Manager for reuse.

Linetype Manager
Lingtype manager allows you to add new linetype from existing linetype file
(.lin) and manage them. You can change name and description of a linetype, and
specify Global scale factor or Current object scale factor to achieve the proper
size. It is easy to separate different linetype by Linetype Filters, when there
are great amount of linetypes in list.

Lineweight Settings
ZWCAD support different lineweights and allows you to display them by
different scale factors. Even, you can set the default lineweight for every new
drawing.

Text
There are multi line text and single line text in ZWCAD, which help you to
create Texts in drafting. You can create the text style with different text
fonts and text measurements, and then you can create several text objects as per your
need with these text styles. Further more, ZWCAD is able to create text fit to
any arc with “Arctext” command.
Draw
There are abundant drawing commands for you in ZWCAD which can meet most of
your need during drafting. You can just use them for work immediately, as they
are similar to AutoCAD’s commands, the same functions.

Edit
Every drawing needs modifications. You can edit your objects after creating
them, there are many powerful functions for you, such as copy, move, array,
mirror, offset, trim, and so on.

Dimension
After editing objects you created, you may make some dimension by dimension
command series. You can specify different type of dimension according to your
need, but it’s strongly recommended that create some dimension styles to manage
them in current drawing. That would be much easier when you need some
modification of them.

Xref Manager
You can attach some external references to current drawing and manage them by
Xref manager. Once you link the referenced drawing to the current drawing, if
you make any changes to referenced drawings, it will be updated automatically in
current drawing when it is opened or reloaded. It is useful when you need to
consult other drawings during your drafting.

Block and Attribute
You can create blocks and save
them in current drawing or save as an external
file. Furthermore, you can also create block with attributes which can be
extracted to an external file when it is necessary. It is an easy way to obtain
all attributes in a large drawing which contains a large amount of attribute
blocks.
Raster Image Manager
List all the image files attached to the current drawing. You can view image
details such as pixel width, color depth, resolution and save path of the
selected image. You can attach new image files and detach, locate, reload, and
unload attached images.

View port
View ports are areas that display different views of your model. As you work
on the Model tab, you can split the drawing area into one or more adjacent
rectangular views known as Viewports. ZWCAD is able to save your view ports
configure with a name for reuse.

Real Time Zoom and Pan
Real Time Pan and Zoom is able to switch different views in current drawing
with a large number of objects. It makes user much easier to observe details of
different parts of current drawing.
Unlimited undo/redo
ZWCAD allows you "Undo" and "Redo" unlimited. When there are frequently
changes, it is more convenient without deleting and redrawing.
Plot
You can print your drawings more easily by some quick settings in plot dialog box.
Which is worth to mention is that ZWCAD support .ctb plot style and page setup,
it is much easier to manage your plotter, paper size, plot area, plot scale and
so on.
